Description

The Department of Rural Development and Land Reform invites bids for the upgrade of four Quantum Scalar i6000 tape library drives and three Quantum StorNext software licenses. The project includes supplying hardware, LTO-9 data cartridges, and performing a large-scale data migration from LTO-6 to LTO-9. The work will take place at the National Geospatial Information office in Mowbray, Cape Town. The successful bidder must provide three years of maintenance and support from 2026 to 2029. The migration phase must be completed within five months of hardware installation. This tender aims to ensure secure data archiving and backup for the Chief Directorate.
