The Department of Home Affairs invites service providers to develop and support a Biometrics Case Management System (BCMS) and supply 600 handheld biometric devices. The work will be based at Hallmark in Pretoria. The contract spans thirty-six months with a potential two-year extension. Key deliverables include building a web and mobile system, integrating it with existing departmental software, migrating 45,000 data volumes, and providing training and technical support. The handheld devices must meet specific technical standards, including fingerprint scanning, high-resolution cameras, and ruggedized hardware. A compulsory virtual briefing session is scheduled for 10 July 2026.
