The Passenger Rail Agency of South Africa (PRASA) is seeking a service provider for the enhancement, integration, and maintenance of its bus and rail ticketing systems. This project aims to ensure operational continuity and revenue protection for a duration of six months. Key deliverables include helpdesk support, incident management, system upgrades, and preventive maintenance. The service provider must support embedded EMV-compliant payment software and ensure secure integration with existing platforms like SAP, SQL databases, and various legacy systems. The work requires expertise in Linux, Java, Android, and C#. The successful bidder will also be responsible for knowledge transfer to PRASA ICT staff and maintaining disaster-recovery readiness. All work must comply with POPIA and PCI DSS standards.
