Description

The Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) is seeking to appoint a panel of legal experts for a 24-month period. The work will be based in South Africa, with a requirement for a national presence. The selected firms will provide professional legal services across various fields, including corporate law, intellectual property, constitutional and administrative law, and general civil or criminal litigation. Key deliverables include providing legal opinions, drafting contracts, representing the HSRC in legal proceedings, and conducting legal workshops. A maximum of five service providers will be appointed to work on a rotational basis. The closing date for submissions is 31 August 2026.

  • Must be registered with the Legal Practice Council

  • Must have offices or local correspondence networks in Gauteng, KZN, and Western Cape
  • Must be tax compliant with SARS
  • Must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD)
  • Must achieve a minimum functionality score of 75 points
