Description

The Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites proposals for specialist IFRS technical accounting and financial statement review services. The project involves providing expert advice on complex revenue classification, funding arrangements, and financial statement quality reviews over a two-year period. Key deliverables include technical accounting opinions, decision-tree templates, staff training, and engagement with governance structures and the Auditor-General. The work will be performed for the CSIR. The lead partner must be a CA(SA) with at least 15 years of experience. Bidders must demonstrate a strong track record with comparable entities audited by the Auditor-General. The closing date for submissions is 20 October 2026.

  • Letter of Good Standing — COID registration and a Letter of Good Standing from the Compensation Fund.
  • Other registration — An industry registration the tender requires (e.g. PSIRA, NHBRC, a professional or trade licence).
